What is the ruling on members of the mosque committee organizing worshipers on Friday during the Imam's sermon due to the limited space of the mosque?

The mosque committee, like other worshippers, must listen attentively to the khutbah (sermon). It is forbidden for them to engage in idle talk or anything that disturbs the worshippers or distracts from listening. Organizing worshippers after the Imam has stood up for the khutbah is considered idle talk. Indeed, Muslim narrated that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Whoever touches pebbles has engaged in idle talk." The matter becomes even more serious if it is accompanied by harming worshippers by stepping over their necks. This task can be performed by the Imam.
