What is the ruling on prayer if a worshipper wiped his left ear before his right in wudu', out of ignorance and forgetfulness?

The authentic hadiths indicate that the description of wiping the ears during ablution is to wipe them simultaneously. Abu Dawud narrated that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, inserted his index fingers into his ears and wiped their outer surfaces with his thumbs and their inner surfaces with his index fingers. Prioritizing the right side is specific to the feet and hands, whereas the ears are wiped together. So, if a person performing ablution wipes one ear before the other, they have acted contrary to the Sunnah and what is preferable, but their ablution is valid.
