Is it permissible for a woman to breastfeed children without a reason to establish fosterage ties?

There is no objection to a woman breastfeeding children if their guardians permit it, especially if she desires to increase her mahrams in a foreign land. However, if there is no need, it is better to avoid it lest forgetfulness or confusion occur, and if she does breastfeed, she must remember or write it down. It is disliked for a woman to breastfeed a boy without necessity or her husband's permission, unless she fears the infant's perishing, in which case there is no harm in it; rather, it becomes obligatory for her to save a life from perishing.
