What is the ruling on the fast of someone who experiences a wet dream?

If one has a wet dream during the day in Ramadan, or has a wet dream at night and wakes up in a state of major ritual impurity (janaba), there is nothing upon him, and his fast is valid. And if he comes to his wife at night and wakes up in a state of janaba while fasting, his fast is valid according to the Four Imams. He must hasten to perform ghusl (ritual bath) for prayer, for it is established that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, would wake up in a state of janaba while fasting and then perform ghusl.
