Is working in the Agricultural Bank and the Tax Authority permissible (halal) or forbidden (haram)? And are the salaries of the employees therein permissible (halal) or forbidden (haram)?

If the work in the bank is permissible, such as selling fertilizers and seeds, and has no relation to interest-based loans, then it is permissible. However, if it is specialized in interest-based lending, then it is forbidden, according to the hadith: "The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) cursed the one who consumes usury, the one who feeds it, its scribe, and its two witnesses," and "they are all equal."

As for working in the tax authority, its ruling differs: if the state collects it for its needs and spends it on public welfare, then it is permissible. But if it is taken unjustly or spent incorrectly, then it is not permissible, and working there is not permissible, except for someone who works to alleviate injustice. It is advisable to present the matter to trustworthy scholars in the country.
