"What is the ruling on saying ""Jazak Allah Alf Khair"" (May Allah reward you with a thousand good deeds), and is it considered one of the prohibited verbal expressions? "

"The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, guided us to reward those who do good to us, and if we cannot find a way, then we supplicate to Allah for them: ""May Allah reward you with good.""

(Whoever does a favor to you, reciprocate, and if you cannot find anything with which to reciprocate, then supplicate for him until you think that you have reciprocated.)

(Whoever has a favor done for him and says to the one who did it: ""May Allah reward you with good,"" then he has done his utmost in praising.)

(Then he has done his utmost in praising) meaning: He has gone to the utmost in fulfilling his gratitude and entrusted his reward to Allah.

And the wording ""May Allah reward you with good"" is that which is reported from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and it is more complete than others, and the best guidance is the guidance of Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him.

And if a Muslim says: ""May Allah reward you with a thousand good things,"" sometimes, there is no harm in it, while acknowledging that the Prophetic wording is more complete and better.
