Is it permissible to fast in atonement for Ramadan, then the six days of Shawwal, then complete the fasting of Shawwal?

What a person does by expediting the make-up of missed fasts and then following it with fasting the six days of Shawwal is correct, because it is recommended to hasten the make-up. There is no blame on him if he completes the rest of the month if he is able. It is better for him to fast one day and break his fast one day, as this is better than continuous voluntary fasting.
