Is abandoning a non-obligatory act, out of fear of the evil eye and envy or out of shyness from people, considered ostentation (riyaa')?

A Muslim should not abandon good deeds for fear of the evil eye or envy, or out of shyness before people, as this is from the whispers of Satan. A Muslim should strive to do good deeds and rely upon Allah, for the strong believer is more beloved to Allah than the weak believer. Furthermore, abandoning work out of shyness is considered a sign of incapacity and disgrace.
