Does Imam Mahdi resemble the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and what is the truth behind the recently increasing voices regarding his birth and that he is alive and well in our time?

The ahadith concerning the Mahdi are mutawatir (massively transmitted) and sahih (authentic). He will fill the earth with justice after it has been filled with tyranny and oppression. He is from the progeny of Fatimah, and his name is Muhammad ibn Abdullah. He is not the awaited Mahdi claimed by the Twelver Shia. Just as the Jews await a Mahdi who is the Dajjal (Antichrist), and the Christians await the Messiah Jesus, peace be upon him, who will descend, break the cross, kill the swine, and rule according to the Islamic Sharia. More than thirty imposters have claimed to be the Mahdi throughout history. As for the claim of his current existence or birth, it is merely a claim with no evidence, and knowledge of it is with Allah.
