What is the ruling on taking a percentage of the money that a person collects for charities? Is it permissible or not?

It is permissible to take a percentage or a salary for collecting voluntary charity donations. Sheikh Ibn Uthaymeen, Sheikh Ibn Jibreen, and Sheikh Hani Al-Jubair were asked about this and they permitted it. However, collecting Zakat and taking a percentage from it is not permissible except for those appointed to work on it according to Sharia.
