Is it incumbent upon the suitor to choose travel in pursuit of a better future, or to continue with the engagement when her family objects to his travel, knowing that he has performed Istikharah and fears that Satan may be creating discord between him and his righteous fiancée, or that this journey is a deliverance from an unsuitable wife?

We advise the questioner to perform Istikhara (prayer for guidance), as it entails the servant abandoning their own choice for Allah's choice and entrusting the matter to Him. Then, after Istikhara, they should proceed with what they sought guidance for. If it becomes easy for them, then it contains goodness; otherwise, it will be averted from them. They should also supplicate frequently that Allah grants them success in all good and averts all evil from them.
