Is zakat obligatory on money invested in an industrial project for a complete year, knowing that no profits were made and all the money was spent on operations?

Zakat is obligatory on manufactured goods and raw materials designated for sale in a shared factory, in addition to cash, provided their value reaches the nisab and a hawl (one lunar year) has passed over them. As for fixed assets like furniture and vehicles, Zakat is not obligatory on them. The share of each partner is considered separately. If their share alone, or combined with other assets, reaches the nisab and a hawl has passed over it, Zakat becomes obligatory on it. The nisab for banknotes is the equivalent of 85 grams of gold or 595 grams of silver, and Zakat of 2.5% is obligatory on them.
