How sound is the hadith which states that Allah Almighty created an angel with two wings and his head beneath the Throne and his feet beneath the seventh earth, and upon him are feathers equal to the number of Allah's creation; so when one of His ummah invokes blessings upon him, Allah commands him to immerse himself in a sea of light beneath the Throne, whereupon he emerges and shakes his wings, and from every drop Allah creates an angel who seeks forgiveness for that person until the Day of Resurrection?

This Hadith is not found in the collections of Sunnah, and it may not be authentic. One of the signs of a fabricated Hadith is that it includes a great reward for a small deed, or a severe threat for a minor sin. What has been authentically reported from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, regarding the virtue of sending blessings upon him, such as his saying: "Whoever sends blessings upon me once, Allah will send blessings upon him tenfold," is sufficient.
