What are the phrases mentioned in the Prophetic Sunnah for the Imam to use in salutation after finishing the prayer?

The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, used to give salutations to his right and left: "Peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah, peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah." It is permissible to suffice with "Peace be upon you." The addition of "and His blessings" has been reported, and many scholars deemed it weak, while others authenticated it. The preponderant opinion is that it is established only in the first salutation. It is best for the worshiper to say "Peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah," and he may sometimes add "and His blessings."
