Is it necessary to arrange the traditional evening remembrances (adhkar) before sleep, and what are these remembrances?

It is not obligatory to arrange supplications and Quranic verses before sleeping, except for those mentioned in the Sunnah, which include:

- "O Allah, in Your name I live and die."

- Glorifying Allah (Subhanallah), magnifying Him (Allahu Akbar), and praising Him (Alhamdulillah) thirty-three times each.

- Dusting off the bed and saying: "In Your name, my Lord, I lay down my side, and by You I raise it. If You take my soul, then have mercy on it, and if You release it, then protect it with what You protect Your righteous servants."

- Reciting the Mu'awwidhat (Surahs Al-Falaq and An-Nas) three times and wiping with them.

- The last two verses of Surah Al-Baqarah.

- Performing ablution (wudu) and lying on the right side, saying: "O Allah, I have surrendered my soul to You..."

- Ayatul-Kursi.

- Placing the right hand under the cheek and saying: "O Allah, protect me from Your punishment on the Day You resurrect Your servants," three times.

- "O Allah, Lord of the heavens and Lord of the earth..."

- Reciting "Qul ya ayyuhal-kafirun" (Say, "O disbelievers") and sleeping after its completion.
