What is the ruling on turning the head towards the Qiblah between the right and left salutations in prayer?

1 min readAlso available in العربية

If you mean facing the Qibla to begin the second taslima while still facing the Qibla, then your action is correct and not to be disapproved, as it is recommended for the worshiper to begin both taslimas while facing the Qibla. Imam Al-Nawawi said: "And a second taslima is sunnah according to the well-known opinion... And if we say two taslimas, then one is to his right and the other to his left, and he begins the salam facing the Qibla, then turns so that the salam concludes with the completion of the turning." This includes both taslimas.
