Are my prayers valid, given the presence of adhesive residue on my arm after performing ablution, and my fear that it may have prevented water from reaching the skin?

For the ablution to be valid, water must reach the skin. If a tangible barrier prevents water from reaching the skin, such as wax or henna, the purification is nullified. However, a color or trace that does not prevent water from reaching the skin has no effect. Some scholars, like Ibn Taymiyyah, held a more lenient view regarding minor instances of such barriers, but the opinion of the majority is more cautious and more absolving of responsibility. Therefore, if the trace prevents water from reaching the skin, the prayers must be repeated; otherwise, they are valid.
