Is it permissible to make the intention for supererogatory prayers by saying: "O Allah, I intend with this prayer that it precede me to my grave"?

The supplication in the mentioned form has not been reported in the Sunnah, and uttering the intention for prayer is an innovation (bid'ah). A person will meet his deeds in his grave, whether good or evil, as it is authentically narrated in the hadith that good deeds come to their doer in the grave in a beautiful form, giving glad tidings of good, and evil deeds come in an ugly form, giving tidings of evil. Therefore, there is no need for over-elaboration in supplication; rather, one should strive to perfect good deeds and ask Allah for acceptance.
