You must turn away from doubts and whispers, for they are from the plots of Satan, and they cause the loss of devotion and make worship difficult. The fundamental principle regarding things is purity; nothing becomes impure merely by doubt. The Sharia has excused a small amount of impurity that is difficult to avoid, in order to remove hardship and difficulty.

If the younger brother’s impure hand touches something pure, it does not become impure unless we are certain of the hand's impurity, meaning that it touched an impurity and moisture was present. As for the bed soiled with the brother’s urine, it does not become pure except by washing it with water. What comes into contact with the bed does not become impure unless one of the two contacting surfaces is wet. The water used to remove impurity, if it splashes or separates without being altered by the impurity, is pure and does not render the garment or body impure.
