What are the corruptors of the heart, and are they five?

Scholars have mentioned that among the causes of a corrupt heart, following whims, excessive socializing, attachment to other than Allah, and an abundance of food and sleep. Ibn Rajab, Ibn al-Qayyim, and al-Ghazali have detailed this in their books.
