ما حكم من يحج وهو مسبل الثياب وحالق اللحية؟

1 min readAlso available in العربية

There is no disagreement that shaving the beard and trailing the garment out of arrogance are religiously forbidden acts. One who commits these two sins remains a Muslim individual and must perform Hajj if capable. Committing these sins does not invalidate Hajj, whether it occurs during or after Hajj. However, if a pilgrim in the state of ihram shaves his beard or trails his garment, he must offer a fidyah, which consists of slaughtering a sheep and distributing its meat to the poor of the Haram, or fasting for three days, or feeding six indigent persons.
