Is the husband entitled to demand that his wife register a home in his name, especially since she acquired it from her brother and he did not strive to provide a home for the family?

A man does not have the right to compel his wife to register a house in his name, and it is forbidden for him to force her to do so. If he does, he is consuming her wealth unjustly. This brings him under the threat mentioned in the Hadith: "Whoever usurps even a handspan of land unjustly, Allah will encircle his neck with it from seven earths on the Day of Resurrection." The children’s support for their father in this matter is aiding falsehood and being disobedient to their mother. The husband must repent, and the children must advise their father. It is incumbent upon the man to provide housing for his wife and those whose maintenance is his responsibility at his own expense. If the wife agrees to his living in her house, that is a kindness from her that should be met with gratitude.
