What is the ruling on praying behind a mosque imam who writes nonsense such as: Gabriel being alive on Earth; writing the Most Beautiful Names of Allah inside numbered squares; drawing Solomon's Seal with the names of worshippers and their mothers; and writing phrases like: "The hateful oppressors are deaf, dumb, and blind, so they will not return," and "They listen and obey just as Umm Muhammad, peace be upon him, obeyed her son Muhammad, peace be upon him"?

The Imam's writings indicate sorcery, as he requests the name of the person and their father's or mother's name, and uses what is called "Solomon's Seal," which the Salaf scholars forbade. This falls under the category of unknown incantations, the meanings of which may constitute polytheism, disbelief, or magic. His claim of Gabriel's presence on Earth is a conjecture about the unseen and evidence of his sorcery. Praying behind him is not deemed impermissible unless he commits acts that take him out of Islam. However, it is preferable to pray behind those who are trustworthy among the pious scholars.
