Is it permissible for a man to have sexual intercourse with his deceased wife?!

The act of a man having intercourse with his deceased wife is a heinous and reprehensible act. Jurists have explicitly stated its prohibition and condemned it. Ibn Qudamah mentioned two views regarding it: one is that it necessitates a prescribed punishment (hadd), because it is intercourse in the private parts of a human being, and because it is a greater sin; the second is that it does not necessitate a prescribed punishment, because intercourse with a deceased person is "as if no intercourse," and because she is not desired. Al-Qadi stated that intercourse with a deceased person is forbidden, and that if a man has intercourse with his wife after her death, he is not subject to a prescribed punishment, though it is forbidden; rather, he should be disciplined.

As for the slandering by some ignorant and malicious individuals against the people of Sharia, claiming that they permit this, it is a falsehood, an abominable saying, and a fabrication.
