What is the Hadith Gharib? Please enlighten us, may Allah reward you.

The Gharib Hadith is one in which a form of "Tafarrud" (singularity) occurs, the most important of which are:

1. Absolute Tafarrud: This is when a single narrator narrates the hadith in any layer of the isnad (chain of transmission), and the hadith is not known except through this isnad. An example is the hadith: "Indeed, actions are by intentions."

2. Relative Tafarrud: This is when a narrator singularly transmits a specific hadith from his شيخ (teacher), to the exclusion of other students of that شيخ, even though the hadith may have been narrated through other chains. An example of this is the hadith: "Do not call grapes al-karm," where Abu Hamzah al-Sukari uniquely narrated it from al-A'mash.
