Is it conceivable for a Hafiz to extract Hadith from a book and transmit them to himself if he possesses a Sanad for those Hadith? And how can the extractor meet the author of the book in his Sheikh, or in someone above him, or in a Companion, with the condition that he does not reach a more distant Sheikh, while the Companion is more distant than the Sheikh? And what are examples of Mustakhrajat and where does the meeting occur in them?

Scholars of hadith terminology permit the extractor (al-mustakhrij) to deviate from the closer chain of narration to a farther one if there is a purpose, such as seeking a higher chain (uluw al-isnad), or adding an important ruling, or clarifying something ambiguous, or explicitly stating the narration of a mudallis (one who practices tadlis). The important condition is that the chain of narration must meet with the author of the original work at his shaykh, or his shaykh's shaykh, or the Companion.
