Is the hadith: "The sun has not risen after me upon anyone better than Abu Bakr" authentic?

The Hadith mentioned in the question was not transmitted verbatim with these exact words. However, similar narrations have been transmitted, such as: "The sun has not risen nor set upon anyone after the prophets and messengers better than Abu Bakr," and "You walk before a man upon whom the sun has not risen better than him." Both of these narrations are unauthentic and weak. Nevertheless, the superiority of Abu Bakr over the Ummah after the Prophet (peace be upon him) is well-known and agreed upon among Muslims. Indeed, Al-Bukhari and Muslim have narrated authentic Ahadith concerning the virtues of Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq.
