Is it permissible to connect with the Knower of the Unseen through contemplation based on the purification of souls?

If a group claims to know the absolute unseen, they are liars, because Allah Almighty says: "And Allah would not apprise you of the unseen." And if they claim to know the relative unseen, there is no impediment to that through inspiration, intuition (firasah), or a true dream. The purpose of contemplating Allah's signs is to strengthen the servant's faith. As for connecting with angels or jinn, it is a form of charlatanism and the prohibited work of soothsayers. Contemplating Allah's signs is permissible, and "takhliyah" (emptying oneself) – if it means sensing that all matters are in Allah's hands – is permissible. But if it means sensing the annihilation of things, then it contradicts reality.
