Is the increase of 3,000 riyals (including 2,000 for insurance) on the last installment of the car's price considered usury if it is paid in installments?
If the last payment is the price of the car and the sale contract was made on installments, and they stipulated Takaful insurance, then there is no harm in that. However, if the installment is one of the rent installments and it became due, it is not permissible to increase it due to delaying and deferring its payment, because that is usury (riba) which is forbidden by Islamic law. This is what the Islamic Fiqh Academy has stipulated.
