Is the meeting of two people via "Zoom" from two different countries for the purpose of getting to know each other with the intention of marriage, and asking questions, considered a valid private seclusion (khalwa shar'iyya), if there is no third party with them, and their conversation is audible to their families?

Online communication between a man and a woman who are not mahram does not fall under the ruling of prohibited khalwah (private seclusion). However, it is impermissible without a need, due to the fear of fitnah (temptation) and corruption. Communication is permissible to the extent of need and when fitnah is safe, provided there is adherence to lowering the gaze and avoiding a soft, alluring tone of voice.
