Is a spot of blood seen by a breastfeeding woman after the end of her postpartum bleeding (nifas) and menstruation (hayd) considered hayd or istihadah, given that she sees this spot in the evening, it ceases until the next day, and the situation recurs? And must she fast and pray in this situation?

If a woman does not see purity after a menstrual period that lasted four days, then the blood she sees afterward is considered part of the menstruation. She must perform ghusl after its cessation and make up for the fasts of the days she saw blood. However, if the duration of the blood and any interspersed purity exceeds fifteen days, then she is considered to have istihada (non-menstrual vaginal bleeding). If she had seen purity after menstruation, and the new bleeding does not amount to a day and a night, then her fast is valid and ghusl is not required; unless the bleeding reaches a day and a night, in which case it is considered menstruation and requires ghusl and making up for the fasts.
