What is the ruling on "al-tareed" in madds?

"Tar'eed" (trembling) is not permissible according to the Imams of recitation. It is when the reciter produces a shaky voice, as if trembling from cold or pain. Some may do this to seek out melodies. Scholars have warned against it, such as Ibn al-Bādhish al-Gharnāṭī, Mannā' al-Qaṭṭān, and al-Sakhāwī, listing it among the innovations people have introduced into recitation, like "taṭrīb" (singing), "tarqīṣ" (swaying), and "taḥzīn" (feigning sadness).
