What is the ruling on a wife's desire not to inform her husband's parents of any actions she takes, whether it be buying or renting real estate, or any matter related to her own parents?

It is incumbent upon the husband to approach his wife and provide for her as much as he can, for that is part of living together honorably (al-mu'asharah bi'l-ma'ruf). Regarding matters related to real estate and its rental, the wife is not obligated to obey in them, and the husband should consider the lawful interests. As for what concerns the wife's parents, if it is about ordinary matters that do not need to be concealed, and if informing the parents would not harm the wife, then the ruling is as before. However, if informing the parents would harm the wife, then it should not be disclosed, because it contradicts living together honorably. And if it is a secret that must be kept, then it is not permissible to divulge it, even if the wife only intended a preponderant lawful benefit, because gatherings are based on trust, and divulging a secret is forbidden.
