Is money earned from working at an engineering company that prices sound excavation meters, while in reality broken meters are excavated and their images are sometimes fabricated, in addition to falsifying tests when broken meters exist, permissible or impermissible? Who bears the sin for this act? And is it advisable to leave this job if another job with permissible money is available, even if it is of a lower standard?

It is not permissible to violate what has been agreed upon in a contract or to take the price of sound goods in exchange for broken goods, due to the Almighty's saying: "And fulfill [every] commitment. Indeed, every commitment will be questioned." and His saying: "O you who have believed, fulfill [all] contracts." and His saying: "Do not consume one another's wealth unjustly." It is not permissible to remain in this job if it necessitates deception, trickery, and consuming people's wealth unjustly. The fact that it did not harm anyone is of no consequence, and do not be deceived by the abundance of earnings from it, for the Almighty says: "Say, 'Not equal are the evil and the good, even if the abundance of evil impresses you.' So fear Allah, O you of understanding, that you may be successful." And the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Indeed, Allah is good and accepts only what is good."
