Is it obligatory to make up prayers for which tayammum was performed due to fear of missing their time while in a state of janabah?

The majority of scholars hold that if someone wakes up in a state of major ritual impurity (junub) and there is not enough time for ghusl (ritual bath) and prayer, they must perform ghusl even if the prayer time expires.

There is no need to make up prayers performed with tayammum (dry ablution) when time is short, and this is the view of the Maliki school and those who agree with them.

It is permissible to perform tayammum for someone who has water but fears that the prayer time will expire if they use it, and they are not required to repeat the prayer, even if it later becomes clear that there was still time after the prayer.

There is no objection to adopting the view of the Maliki school here, even if it differs from the commonly issued fatwa, and it is permissible to act upon a less preferred opinion after the event has occurred.

Repeating the prayer as a precaution and to avoid scholarly disagreement is better.
