Every event in the universe occurs by the will, decree, and predestination of Allah. As for humans, are they compelled or given a choice in their actions? All their actions have been preceded by divine decree and predestination. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "There is none among you but his seat in Paradise or Hellfire has been recorded." When he was asked, "Should we not then rely [on this] and abandon action?" He replied, "No, act, for everyone is facilitated for that for which he was created."
