Is combining rinsing the mouth and sniffing water into the nose a confirmed Sunnah from the Prophet, may Allah’s prayers and peace be upon him?

The correct and established practice in the Prophetic Sunnah regarding the manner of the Prophet’s ablution (peace be upon him) is to combine rinsing the mouth (madmadah) and sniffing water into the nose (istinshaq) with a single scoop of water. This is done three times, using three scoops of water. This is supported by authentic hadiths in Al-Bukhari and Muslim, including the hadith of Abdullah ibn Zayd (may Allah be pleased with him). Al-Nawawi and Ibn Taymiyyah (may Allah have mercy on them both) mentioned that separating madmadah and istinshaq is weak, and that the best practice is to combine them from a single scoop of water.
