What is the ruling on a woman kissing her maharim, or her children, or other women, and her caressing her child in front of a non-mahram man, especially if the face is not considered awrah, and should Muslims be alerted to this matter?

Kissing one's unmarriageable kin (mahārim) or other women and children is permissible when there is no suspicion (rībah). It is preferable not to do so in front of strangers. A woman caressing her child in front of strangers is permissible as long as it does not lead to something forbidden or provoke temptation, based on the Almighty's saying: "And let them not stamp their feet so as to make known what they conceal of their adornment."
