Is a marriage contract concluded with the wording "I give you," in the presence of witnesses, and without mention of the dower, legitimate, and is the wife considered lawful?

A legal contract is concluded with offer and acceptance. Nothing specific is required for their wording; rather, any commonly understood expression indicating them suffices for the marriage contract to be valid, such as "I marry you to her," "I give her to you in marriage," and "I make her your possession." Not naming the dowry does not affect the validity of the contract, for the Qur'an, Sunnah, and scholarly consensus have all indicated the permissibility of concluding a marriage contract without specifying a dowry.
