Is anything required after running over and killing a cat with a car?

You must seek Allah's forgiveness (Istighfar), repent, and not return to haste and rush. You should move it aside from the road to prevent harm to Muslims. It is better that you give out some of your money as charity for the sake of Allah the Almighty.
