There is no objection to waiving the card in exchange for a sum of money, because it is a right of the subscriber and it is permissible to exchange it for compensation, just as it is permissible to relinquish jobs or for a woman to sell her turn to her co-wife or husband. Also, jurists have permitted taking money in exchange for refraining from something. As for obtaining it for free through intercession, it is stipulated for its permissibility that it not be an usurpation of another's right through intercession or bribery.
