Is it permissible to benefit from the money of a father who earned it from his work in a usurious loan company? And is a university degree obtained with this money considered unlawful? And how can one get rid of the afflictions and calamities resulting from unlawful earnings?

The father must be advised to repent from unlawful earnings, but it is permissible for the children to benefit from his money for their sustenance. So, they enjoy the comfort, and he bears the burden. If the daughter works in a permissible job, her salary is lawful, even if her education expenses were paid from the father's unlawful money. It must be known that affliction does not descend except because of a sin and is not lifted except by repentance. Therefore, a Muslim should renew general repentance and frequently seek forgiveness.
