What is the meaning of a Hadith scholar's statement about a narrator, "Sadooq yugharrib" (truthful, but relates odd narrations), and is his narration accepted?

The phrase "Sadooq lahu awham" (truthful but has delusions/errors) describes a narrator as being truthful, yet he narrates unique traditions in which no one else corroborates him. This does not prevent the acceptance of his narration. Some narrators in Bukhari and Muslim were described with this phrase.
