Is it forbidden for a Muslim woman to shake hands with a non-Muslim woman?

Shaking hands between a Muslim woman and a non-Muslim woman is disliked (makruh), just as Imam Ahmad disliked shaking hands with the People of the Book (Ahl al-Dhimma). Al-Haskafi also disliked a Muslim shaking hands with a Dhimmi. Al-Adawi reported that the Lawgiver (Allah) commanded shunning and avoiding the disbeliever, and in handshaking there is a connection that contradicts what is required.
