How do I choose a friend from among my acquaintances?

We advise the questioner to fear Allah and adorn themselves with noble morals, for righteous companionship is legally mandated and naturally desired, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "A person is upon the religion of his intimate friend, so let each one of you look at whom he befriends," and "The example of a righteous companion and an evil companion is like that of the seller of musk and the blower of bellows." If a Muslim adorns themselves with the ethics of Islam, they will automatically meet those who are like them.
