What is the ruling on supplicating after prayer by raising one's hands and voice and saying: "Our Lord, grant us good in this world..."?

Supplicating and raising one's hands after the obligatory prayers is permissible, and it should be done with a voice that is between low and audible. The supplicant may ask for whatever good he wishes, both in this world and the hereafter. Comprehensive supplications are recommended, such as: "O Allah, our Lord, grant us good in this world and good in the hereafter, and protect us from the torment of the Fire," following the example of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, who frequently recited it.
