Should one wait for his wife to pray the Sunnah of Fajr before praying the congregational obligatory prayer, if he fears the sun will rise and he has already prayed the Sunnah?

If you wake up before sunrise and there is sufficient time, pray the Sunnah of Fajr then the obligatory prayer. However, if time is short, pray the obligatory prayer immediately.

It is permissible to pray the Sunnah of Fajr after the obligatory prayer before sunrise, as held by the Shafi'is and Hanbalis. They cited as evidence the Hadith of Qays ibn Amr, who prayed the two rak'ahs of Fajr after the prayer, and the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, remained silent.
