What is the ruling on holding the hand of an elderly foreign woman to help her descend stairs?

If a woman needs your help by holding her hand, and leaving her would cause her harm, then there is no blame upon you for what you did. Especially since some scholars differentiate between touching a young, unrelated woman and touching an old woman who is not desired, provided that there is no fear of temptation.
