Is it permissible to pay the lawyer's percentage (15%) from the legally due interest (9%) and dispose of the remaining amount of the interest? What is the ruling on the amount of compensation awarded as severance pay?

It is permissible for a lawyer to take a known percentage of the due salaries. However, if the percentage is from the total amount that the court will rule, the majority of scholars do not permit it due to the uncertainty of the compensation, although some verifiers consider it permissible. Delayed salaries are a debt, and it is not permissible to demand interest on their delay, as this is usury (riba). It is also not permissible to pay the lawyer's fees from it. Rather, one must dispose of it by spending it on public welfare. It is permissible to receive compensation for unlawful termination and to demand that the company be fined for the lawyer's fees and court expenses.
