Is the reward for the second Hajj equivalent to that of the first Hajj?

1 min readAlso available in العربية

The reward for Hajj is immense, but the obligatory Hajj is undoubtedly superior to voluntary Hajj, because of the Prophet's (peace and blessings be upon him) narration from his Lord: "My servant does not draw near to Me with anything more beloved to Me than what I have obligated upon him." Thus, obligatory acts are the most beloved deeds to Allah, because they are like the root, and voluntary acts are like the branch. In performing them, there is obedience to Allah's command and glorification of Him, and an demonstration of the humility of servitude and the greatness of Lordship.
